Evensong was Mrs. Rockefeller's favorite guest room. It is a lovely, welcoming bedroom filled with sunlight in the day and aglow with lamps and firelight in evening. A woodburning fieldstone fireplace stands in the middle of a large, windowed alcove facing the king bed.
Original oil paintings hang on the mellow, hand-waxed walls. A glass-topped dressing table has a classic curved stool, a large elegant mirror and flattering lamps -perfect for leisurely dressing before the evening festivities.
The bathroom was recently renovated with original sinks and his and hers medicine cabinets. With all black and white tile and chrome with black painted wood floors and water closet, there is a deep soaking clawfoot tub and walk-in double shower with a center rain shower.
Evensong has a stunning new terrace carved out of blue granite bedrock with chaise lounge chairs to enjoy the view. Also private dining area and firepit make this accommodation an ideal place to call home.
