Accessibility at The Point

The Point is an iconic Rockefeller Great Camp originally constructed in 1929 and has many unique and historic qualities. Due to this historic nature, The Point does not contain any elevators, escalators, or powered lift devices. Although the camp was not originally constructed with compliance in mind, The Point has strived for years to make every area as accessible and comfortable as possible for all our guests. While ensuring accessibility, we remain committed to every guest enjoying an equally life-time memorable experience.

Wilderness Areas & Activities

As The Point was originally constructed as a Great Camp, the full estate is separated into multiple buildings across a vast property of over 75 acres. These buildings are connected by a combination of stone paths, hiking paths, and paved roadways.  Though we have many areas that can be enjoyed by all guests such as The Pub and the Great Hall, some areas of the property are inaccessible by wheelchair and can be difficult to reach with low mobility.  Our staff will certainly provide rides in our fleet of vehicles or provide a golf cart to any individuals who may require one. Please note that some activities such as boating, hiking, and exploration of our Camp David activity area may also be inaccessible depending on certain conditions.
