Communal Dining

The Point has a long and beloved tradition of communal dining where dinner service each evening is an elegant, hosted event. Guests are seated at one or two formal tables in our Great Hall and a member of the Point’s management team serves as host, just as the Rockefellers hosted dinner for their guests. These evenings are most memorable, with much laughter and lively conversations. They have been the source of many new and lasting friendships.

The Cocktail Experience:

Each day you are invited to a special location for our cocktail hour. At 7:00 PM guests come together in our Great Hall, The Pub, The Boat House Dock, or on our glass enclosed Elco classic launch (weather permitting) to enjoy a seasonally inspired selection of canapes, wine, and cocktails.

The Dining Experience:

Our Chef curates a seasonal menu consisting of flavors and fresh ingredients that are often found on or nearby the property. Prior to your arrival our Reservations Department will inquire regarding any dietary restrictions that you may have to accommodate your needs when creating the menu each day. Five nights each week, a four-course dinner with wine pairings is served in the Great Hall. On Wednesday and Saturday evenings, the Great Hall transforms into a black-tie affair to include a seven-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Appropriate attire is required for all dining in the evening in the Great Hall. During four-course dinners, gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie while ladies dress in cocktail attire. Black tie for gentlemen and formal evening wear for ladies is required on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.

The After-Dinner Experience:

The evening does not end after dinner! Following the final course, multiple locations on the property become venues for the continuation of the social evening.  Whether you prefer visiting The Pub while enjoying your favorite night-cap and a round of pool,  the lean-to with a roaring bonfire, or even an out-door movie complete with truffle popcorn, it will be like reliving your summer-camp days.
