Winter at The Point

image001

The Point is tucked away into the depths of the Adirondack mountains where Winter is one of the most magical times of the year. When the temperature drops, the Summer lake activities transform into ice skating, curling, and much more. Our famous ice bar returns to us each year and is built right onto Upper Saranac Lake. Often in the forecast, we experience snow which brings a blanket of beauty to The Point making it the go-to location for a winter escape.

As many of us know with snow comes many challenges, but at The Point a heavy snowfall is welcomed. Watch the snowfall from your terrace as our guest services team creates the perfect playground for winter activities without having to lift a finger, or a shovel!

There are endless ways to enjoy the winter months at The Point. For those looking to stimulate their adventurous side, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking are all available. Once you have returned from your winter excursions, take to the ice for ice skating, curling, snow corn-hole, and our unforgettable ice bar. Unwind in your room with hot chocolate and a crackling fire before the night's dinner service.

A tip for your upcoming visit:

If you are looking for a cozy way to end the evening request a fresh batch of The Point’s famous truffle popcorn. Each batch is handmade by our chefs and delivered hot to your room. Watch the snowfall from your balcony and enjoy the winter wonderland that is The Point.
