Breakfast Depending on your idea of the perfect start to the day, the morning may begin with a soft knock on your door and the discreet arrival of morning coffee or tea, so that you can take your time emerging from under your comforter.
Later, a slightly bolder knock announces the arrival of breakfast: Freshly squeezed orange juice, a linen-covered basket full of just-baked muffins, butter and homemade jams in small china pots. You may take your breakfast in bed, at a breakfast table overlooking the lake or before the fire on a chilly morning. Or meander over to the Great Hall to join friends for omelets, venison sausage or mounds of raspberry pancakes, and perhaps a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa, as plans for the day begin to take shape and anticipation mounts. The host and staff are on hand to offer suggestions, secure reservations for activities off-property, muster gear and thermoses of hot coffee, and make sure that all unfolds seamlessly.
